Chris Earle (General Manager of DuBois Healthcare) recently accepted the prestigious award at the the Annual TRSA Legal & Legislative Conference in March on Paris’s behalf for his leadership role in the implementation of the Work Release Program at DuBois Healthcare.
In October of 2018, Chris Earle set a goal to be the leading employer of Work Release Workers (WRWs) in the area. With help from Jessica Wright (Human Resources & Safety Manger of DuBois Healthcare), the goal came to fruition after nearly half a year of planning.
Paris has always employed one to two Work Release Workers per year, but since the start of this program, 48 WRWs have now been placed here. In fact, of those 48 workers, 27 have been released and 10 are still working at Paris!
Paris’s goal is to facilitate every Work Release employee wanting to stay at Paris by helping them overcome roadblocks that prevent them from doing so. Major impediments to this are transportation, affordable housing, and the most basic of education. Paris worked with the Area Transport Authority to set up a route that allowed access to public transportation and a means to get to work.
Paris’s mission is to help as many Work Release employees as we can with as many resources as we can. We are excited for the future of this program and look forward to employing many more!
