Customer focus and an
old-world work ethic were the founding principles of Paris in 1918. These values helped Paris survive two world wars and the great depression until Jack Stern took over the business in 1950. Dave joined the business in 1973, and his father taught him exactly what he had learned over the years: Customer service is paramount, and your reputation is everything. Consequently, as we’ve expanded the business from that point, we concentrate on staying true to these fundamental values.
In 1980, Paris Uniform Services moved to our current location in DuBois, Pennsylvania. In 1990, we approached a local hospital to provide a linen management service for them, and Paris Healthcare Linen Services was born. In both businesses, outstanding customer service has been the key to our success. We’ve grown from a single retail store to become the largest independently-owned laundry and textile service company in Pennsylvania. We have state-of-the-art processing and distribution facilities in Pennsylvania and Ohio. Our service area encompasses more
than 4,000 customers
in four states.
"We just had our 100th anniversary in 2018! I’ll keep telling my management team and the entire Paris family the same things I was taught: Above all, take care of your customers; earn their trust. Second, we have a culture here that is important; it’s based on honesty and caring. Third, no business can just keep taking; you have to preserve and give back. Let’s take care of our customers, our communities and our resources so that Paris can celebrate a 200th anniversary! We look forward to serving you in the future."
